第一，课堂英语枯燥乏味。在课堂上，教师比较注重生词与语法点，而对一些比较有趣的知识（比如中英文化差异）则只是一言而过，无法引起学生学习的兴趣，并且同学们开口机会少，这也是导致产生“哑巴英语”的因素之一；
第二，英语生词难以掌握，课后习题量过多。难背的英语单词让不少同学烦恼，而课后可怕的“题海”使同学们坠入一个个深渊。对英语不少同学都是敬而远之；
第三，缺乏英语学习环境与方法。好的环境会使英语教学质量大大提高，同时也能增加同学们的兴趣。打个比方：如果你身在英国，学习英语还会如此困难，如此痛苦吗？显然不会。而好的学习方法则可以避免同学走弯路，不致处处碰壁。
第四，英语无用论。一个无法忽略的现实是：中考要考英语，高考要考英语，考研也要考英语。世界上绝大多数的科学文献是用英语写成的，世界范围内不管是政治、军事还是经济最广泛使用的语言也是英语。有可能你现在学英语用不到，但是我可以负责人地说，你这辈子离不开英语，不管你在国内还是国外。
好的，既然我们知道了不喜欢甚至讨厌英语的原因，那么我们如何培养英语学习的兴趣呢？其实也很简单。
从简单的开始，我现在问一下同学们你们觉得学习英语最基本的原则是什么？有谁知道请举手……对了最基本的原则就是简单原则，举个例子，比方说有人问你：What’s your name？你回答：My name is jake。 I’m jake。很明显I’m jake。要远远好于My name is jake。这就是简单原则，越简单越好！英语学习不外乎就是听、说、读、写，都应从最简单的开始，只有从简单的开始，才容易入门，才容易产生"兴趣"，才容易把事情进行下去。简单原则有巨大的优点：1、造就成就感，培养自信。 2、增加兴趣。 3、语言朗朗上口。 4、易于学以致用。但是很学生对简单的语言往往不屑一顾，在学英语中最喜欢追求一个字——"难"。尽管学了很多难的东西，却不会用。而事实上，简单的东西如能灵活、准确地使用才是真正重要的。当然这并不是说"难的单词"和"复杂句型"一点儿也不能用，或者说没有用。学会容易的东西，并把容易的东西融会贯通地加以运用才是英语学习的关键所在。多学习一门语言，就是多了一对耳朵、一对眼睛和一张嘴。这个形容一点也不夸张。
下面我们就从听说读写四个方面来具体说一下英语的学习方法。
一、听力练习方法建议
1、根据个人英语掌握程度，选择难度适中，语速适当的听力磁带。
2、选择心情舒适的时候进行听力练习，效果更佳。听力最佳时间为早上9点至10点，下午4点至5点，晚上8点至9点，这些时段记忆力最好，工作效率最高。
3、挑选自己喜欢的英语磁带练习，建议选择趣味性强，故事性强的听力材料。比如：英语童话故事，世界名著（简单版）等。
二、口语练习方法建议
1、首先要掌握基本日常用语，词汇和短语，以初中到高中学习词汇为标准，大约6000词汇，300短语。另外这些只是最基本的词汇掌握量，若要脱口而出，还需掌握最少四级词汇。
2、一般买英语磁带都配有磁带读物，比如上面说到的英语童话故事和世界名著。磁带作为听力练习，读物作为练习口语阅读练习，配合磁带来纠正自己的发音，一举两得。
3。若有机会在城市碰到老外，可以邀请他们和自己留影，只要留影就OK了，如果词汇不足，不要深谈。这样可以锻炼胆量和口语呢。我和老外是这么说的：

关于口语练习，可以结合听力练习一起进行，这里我就不重复了，另外看英语电影也可以练习口语，以电影对话一句为单位，静音练习。这样效果很好，熟练之后可以看着电影说对话呢！
三、阅读练习方法建议
1、根据自己掌握的词汇量选择难度适当的英语读物，一般市面上有小学，初中英语读物。
2、阅读英语书籍，不要一目十行，不是当成小说来看，要本着学习的态度去看，除非英语掌握十分出色，那另当别论。
3、在阅读过程中遇到生词不要一一去查字典，这样费时又不容易把握故事情节。大部分生词重复率很高，根据上下文可以猜测它的词性和大概意思。譬如人名，地名等。其他生词若实在影响阅读，建议马上查，然后把它记在笔记本上，作为背诵词汇之一。
四、写作练习方法建议
1、经常写英语日记是最快最有效的写作练习方法，根据词汇量掌握多少，写出难度适中的日记，字数根据个人喜好调整

我的小技巧：
注意观察四周一切有英语文字出现的地方。譬如路上的招牌，包装袋上的英文等等。总之时刻让自己接触英语，平时小事也不放松。

There is a wonderful word which expresses the most original motions and desires among human-beings. With solving any kind of imperfections, our world has moved ahead. This is the word “innovation” that we cannot afford to lose.
We chicaned every detail of the innovation. Thousands years before, we created fire when we took a stone to knock another one. Since Han Dynasty, four great inventions had been created and it is one of the greatest signs that China become to the ancient civilized country. And nowadays, thousands of software, products, architectures and public facilities have upgraded more than that about 100 years ago. So how did these happen? What will you do if you are not satisfied with your tools anymore? What will you do if old mode cannot afford to develop in a company? There is no doubt that we should innovate no matter where we are and what we do. Not because of the design itself, but actually for its intended purpose.
If there was no Apple, everyone could not imagine how to contact others easily and enjoy a better Internet surfing.
If there was no Microsoft, perhaps we still worked in a dim office and duplicate some troublesome documents. What's the role of humanism today?At the first sight of this topic,I felt that I had a vision of walking along a dark passage to our destination,an ideal harmonious society.Humanism,is a lighthouse on this way to guide us in case we are getting lost,together with modern technology,we are well on our way toward our destination.
Like other young men,I love the internet.To be honest,I could not imagine a life without internet,which is a blessing taken by high technology.To some extent,it represents the whole world to me.I have registered some accounts on MySpace,Facebook,Twitter,Renren,Weibo and so forth.It's really amazing because these network technologies make it possible for people all over the world to communicate with each other freely and conveniently.

Alright, well I've been asked to talk about something beautiful and I'd like to choose the White Cloud Temple. It is located in Beijing and it's on the west side of town. It's not that far away from a subway station, but you would need to take a bus, because it's a bit far to walk. I go there probably two or more times a year. It's a Taoist temple, probably the most active Taoist temple in Beijing. I'm a Taoist. But I go there more than just to pray. I really try to take a trip to find some time to rediscover myself. During the Spring Festival people jam into it because they hold what I think is the best carnival during Spring Festival. We call them Miao Huis. At that time the temple is very crowded, but most other times it's quite peaceful, and it's a good place to get away from all the people.
I think the reason it's so beautiful is because it is simple and it seems to blend in well with its environment. The small praying hall is very serene. It has a nice pool and a bridge. The Taoist motifs are quite simple but I think they are very charming. I love to go there during the winter after a big snowfall because it's at this time that it seems to be most mysterious. I choose this as the most beautiful because, to me, beauty is simplicity and natural design, and it also means it fits the environment it is in. I don't really like grand, elaborate temples. My high school headteacher teaches my English. He is handsome. And he is very thin for hardwork. He is about forty years old. He looks serious. But in fact, he is kind, nice and warmhearted.

Though it is only within my power to tell about my personal experience, and only a tiny fragment of it at that, it still represents, I believe, the root of a spirit which has been essential to me and to all the people bred by the past 15 years.
In my elementary years, there was a little girl in the class who worked very hard but somehow could never do satisfactorily in her lessons.
The teacher asked me to help her, and it was obvious that she expected a lotfromme. but as a young boy, restless, thoughtless, I always tried to evade her so as to get more time to enjoy myself.
One day before the final exam, she came up to me and said, "Could you please explain this to me? I want very much to do better this time. " I started explaining, and finished in a hurry. Pretending not to notice her still confused eyes, I ran off quickly. Nat surprisingly, she again did very badly in the exam. And two months later, at the beginning of the new semester, word came of her death of blood cancer. No one ever knew about the little task I failed to fulfill, but I couldn't forgive myself. I simply couldn't forget her eyes, which seem to be asking, "Why didn't you do a little more to help me, when it was so easy for you? Why didn't you understand a little better the trust placed in you, so that I would not have to leave this world in such pain and regret?"
I was about eight or nine years old at that time, but in a way it was the very starting point of my life, for I began to understand the word "responsibility" and to learn to always do my duties faithfully and devotedly, for the implications of that sacred word has dawned on me: the mutual need and trust of people, the co-operation and inter-reliance which are the very foundation of human society.
Later in my life, I continued to experience many failures. But never again did I feel that regret which struck me at the death of the girl, for it makes my heart satisfied to think that I have always done everything in my power to fulfill my responsibilities as best I can.
As I grew up, changed and improved by this incident and many other similar ones, I began to perceive the changes taking place around me and to find that society, in a way, was in its formative years like myself. New buildings, new commodities and new fashions appear every day.
