If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return. But what is more painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let that person know how you feel.
A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and you just have to let go.
The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.
The rapid rise in world population is not creating problems only for the developing countries. The whole world faces the problem that raw materials are being used up at an increasing rate and food production can not keep up with the population increase. People in rich countries make the heaviest demands on the world's resources, its food, fuel and land, and cause the most pollution. A baby born in the United States will use in his lifetime 30 times more of the world's resources than a baby born in India. Unless all the countries of the world take united action to deal with the population explosion there will be more and more people fighting for a share of less and less land, food and fuel, and the future will bring poverty, misery and war to us all.
For most of the developing countries, it is a good idea to control the population growth. For example, China has carried out birth control for years. And this plan has a great effect on the world population.
If the population continues to increase, if the air and water continue to be polluted, if we don't do something to protect wild-plant and wildlife species will be declining. Species and biological communities have difficulty adapting to change. Economic opportunities and the quality of life of future generations are also put at risk. By protecting nature, we protect ourselves.
Let's unite together, hand in hand we stand all across the land.
We can make this world in which to live. Hand in hand. Control the population growth. Take good care of our nature.
different people have different career outlooks. some people want to become civil servants; some people hope to start their own business; some people dream of being freelancers, and so on.
perhaps the clintons' greatest achievement is their daughter, who moved into the white house as a young girl, and left as an accomplished young lady. it's not easy to be a teenager in the white house, but it's a lot easier when you have a loving mother and a loving father that chelsea clinton had.
this magnificent presidential library, and the american life it celebrates, would not have been possible without the love and sacrifice of a special lady. among his heroes, president clinton always includes his mother, virginia kelley, "a working woman and a widow." virginia was there when her son took the oath of office, and we know that she would be incredibly proud of this day.
however, my ideal job is teaching. firstly, i’m told that teachers have a high income. with the high income, i can open a training school to help the children in poor families with their education. secondly, teachers always have summer and winter holidays, thus i will have more free time to relax myself. more importantly, teachers are angels to students, who can pass on the knowledge to students as well as help them develop their hobbies and interests. i can’t imagine how happy i will feel when i see my students become elites.
in order to be a qualified teacher, i should read more books to acquire more knowledge, and train my patience and improve my communication and handwriting abilities.
What is nature? It's everything that exists in the world independently of people, such as pants and animals, earth and rocks, and the weather.
Now more and more people are focusing on the nature. It is no doubt that the nature is important to every human being. No nature, no life. Because of the supplies of the nature, we have lived happily for a long time. And we started to gain every thing available from the nature. And this lasted so long a time. Today, people have discovered that the nature around is getting worse and worse.
What is threatening the nature? Air and water pollution, overharvesting of plant and animal species, overpopulation and so on. Overpopulation is the biggest source of pollution. Let's take overpopulation as an example.
What does overpopulation feel like? When we move slowly through the city in a tazi. When we enter a crowded slum district. When the temperature is high and when the air is thick with dust and smoke. The streets are crowded with people. The streets seem alive with people. People eating. People washing. People talking. People sleeping. People visiting each other, arguing and screaming. People relieving themselves. People pushing their hands through the taxi windows, begging. People leading animals. People, people, people, people. As we drive slowly through the crowd, sounding the taxi's horn, the dust, heat, noise and cooking fires made it like a scene from hell! I admit, frightening.
To the nature, overpopulation is a big problem. More people, more pollution. And the big population is threatening the nature every second.
folks, it's long past time to cut the middle class back into the deal, so they can benefit from the economic growth they helped create. folks, there used to be a bargain in this country supported by democrats6 and republicans, business and labor7. the bargain was simple. if an employee contributed to the growth and profitability of the company, they got to share in the profits and the benefits as well. that's what built the middle class. it's time to restore the bargain, to deal the middle class back in. because, folks, when the middle class does well, everybody does well-the wealthy get wealthier and the poor have a way up.
you know, the middle class is not a number. it's a value set. it means being able to own your home; raise your children in a safe neighborhood; send them to a good school where if they do well they can qualify to go to college and if they get accepted you'd be able to find a way to be able to send them to college. and in the meantime, if your parents need help, being able to take care of them, and hope to put aside enough money so that your children will not have to take care of you.
that's the american dream. that's what this country was built on. and that's what we'redetermined8 to restore.
in order to do that, it's time to have a fair tax structure, one that values paychecks as much as unearned income and inherited wealth, to take some of the burden off of the middle class. it's time to close tax loopholes so we can reduce the deficit9, and invest in rebuilding america - our bridges, our ports, our highways, rails, providing good jobs.
with corporate10 profits at near record highs, we should encourage corporations to invest more in research and development and the salaries of their employees. it's time for us to invest in educational opportunity to guarantee that we have the most highly skilledworkforce11 in the world, for 6 out of every 10 jobs in the near term is going to require some education beyond high school. folks, it's long past due to increase the minimum wage that will lift millions of hardworking families out of poverty target poverty and in the process produce a ripple12 effect that boosts wages for the middle class and spurs economic growth for the united states of america. economists13 acknowledge that if we do these and other things, wages will go up and we'll increase the gross domestic product of the united states.
大海如果失去巨浪的翻滚，也就失去了雄浑;沙漠如果失去了飞沙的狂舞，也就失去了壮美;人生如果失去了坚强的神韵，也就成_‘绝对平庸之人。所以作为普通平凡的人，切不可存平庸之志，应该拒绝平庸。
且看古人，屈原拒绝平庸，才有_‘“长太息以掩涕兮，哀民生之多艰”，才有了“吾将上F而求索”的执著;陶渊明拒绝平庸，归隐田园，才有了“采菊东篱下，悠然见南山”的畅快，才有了桃花源的神秘与期待;李白拒绝平庸，才有了“安能摧眉折腰事权贵，使我不得开心颜”，才有了“与尔同销万古愁”的豪迈。
再看今人，不甘平庸的俞敏洪不想种一辈子田，于是以惊人的毅力，考入了北大，创建了新东方，创造了中国教育界的奇迹。李娜有一颗拒绝平庸的心，敢于和国家体制叫板，走上职业化道路继续奋斗，20xx年法网夺冠后界排名第四，她的目标是世界第一。《超女》、《星光大道》、《中国达人秀》，这些大众喜爱的节目迎合着普通追梦者，源于他们想过一种不平凡的生活，寻找梦想，张扬个性，追求卓越，创造辉煌，而在这条道上执著、坚持。
拒绝平庸，首先甘于平凡。平凡是人生的常态。绝大多数人岗位平凡，角色普通，生活平淡，琐事连连，感受人生的喜怒哀乐。从容面对平凡，摆正心态，多一份宁静，少一份浮躁。其次创造不凡。从平凡中掘取激情，积极向上，勇于进取，挖掘潜力，奉献自己的光和热，执著追求，少一份抱怨，多一份从容。你会远离灯红酒绿纸醉金迷，不会贪图享受，庸碌无为，不求显达于世，但求有所作为。
拒绝平庸，需要勇气，志向远大信念坚定义无反顾勇往直前;需要意志，没有毅力不能到达光辉的顶点;需要学习，脱离低级庸俗而变得不再平庸;需要创新，才能立于竞争激烈的社会。
拒绝了平庸，你会拥有“会当临绝顶，一览众山小”的气魄;你会领略到“乘风破浪会有时，直挂云帆济沧海”的快意;你会独享“奏裂帛之音，荡回肠之曲”的幸福。
在某种程度上，平庸是失败者聊以自慰的借口，是懒惰者无所事事的理由。拒绝平庸，是对成功的追求，让生命绽放光彩力量，也是对个人、国家和社会的一份责任。处于青春年少风华正茂者，放飞梦想，追求卓越，身处平凡而超越平凡，让生活阳光灿烂，奏响时代的最强音。
孟子云：“天将降大任于是人也，必先苦其心志，劳其筋骨，饿其体肤，空乏其身，行拂乱其所为，所以动心忍性，曾益其所不能。”可见，要想成就一番大事业，就必须敢于超越极限。?
海伦?凯勒被马克?吐温誉为19世纪最伟大的两个人之一。她儿时因患一场大病丧失了视觉和听觉，但她并没有向命运低头，挑战了生命的极限，学会了英语、德语、希腊语、拉丁语等多种语言，最终以优异的成绩考入哈佛大学。她用亲身的经历告诉我们要敢于超越人生的艰难险阻，披荆斩棘地闯出一条自己的路来。
“宝剑锋从磨砺出，梅花香自苦寒来。”愈是艰难的绝境，愈能促进人发挥潜力，超越看似不可征服的极限。红军的长征，在当今世界被誉为奇迹，在漫漫的二万五千里路途中，红军战士忍受着“烽火连三月，家书抵万金”的孤独，挑战了忠孝的极限;爬雪山，过草地，饥寒交加，为了灾难深重的民族的解放，红军战士们挑战了生理的极限。正是有了许许多多像红军长征精神一样的超越，我们才有了不断的攀登与进步。
刚刚过去的汶川大地震又给了我们许多对于人生极限的思考。温说的最让人难忘的一句话：“只要有一线希望，我们就决不放弃。”武警官兵们不顾自己的安危，在随时可能到来的余震中奋力救人，表现出对使命和人民的无限忠诚;医务工作者不分昼夜抢救灾民，给“救死扶伤”一个最大限度的诠释;我们平常总说母爱是伟大的，地震中那个用自己的身体保护孩子的母亲用行动再次诠释了什么是母爱的大境界，突破了爱的极限;在超过72小时生命存活极限之后，仍有许多的灾民被救活，这不仅是生命的奇迹，更是对生死极限的顽强跨越。试想，人类连生死极限都能跨越，还有什么我们不能超越的“极限”呢?
吉尼斯纪录，就可以说是对极限的考验。但随着时间的推移，纪录被不断打破更新，可见极限不过是个具有时效性的字眼。就像那个实验中，桶中看似已装满了石块，但却又可以倒“满”沙子，甚至倒“满”水。很赞同那个学生的观点，“很多事情看起来达到了极限，实际上还存在很大空间”。
也许现在我们还没有“捐躯赴国难，视死忽如归”的气概，没有“人生自古谁无死，留取丹心照汗青”的胸怀，没有“举世皆浊我独清，众人皆醉我独醒”的睿智，但只要我们心中有理想、有勇气、有毅力，定能超越自己的极限，创造一切的可能!
那辉煌的盛唐早已过去，但诗歌仍千百年来在人们心间流淌;古希腊的城邦早已覆亡，而那自由民主的星火却依旧蔓延，在更深广的土地上，燃烧了几千年。
犹太王大卫在戒指上刻有一句铭文“一切都会过去”。是的，没有什么可以永存，最宏伟的大厦最终也不过化作历史风尘中的一把碎土，但我们创造过的思想与美，却在它们的载体与躯壳湮灭后，化作历史风沙中的一抹余香，缠绕亘古，永不逝去。
当年左光斗被魏忠贤杀害后，他的喉骨被命令磨成粉，随后魏忠贤一饮而下。连喉骨也彻底地碎了，魏忠贤才彻底放心了，如此，你还如何再上书、进言?他却不知，自己饮下的，是一生的恐惧。那东林党人的傲骨不灭，他们的灵魂成为奸恶之人永远的噩梦，也幻化成为历史一曲永恒悲壮的绝响。
是的，一切都不会过去。形式的过去预言着内涵的永存。
而今，在这个身边风景迅速变化的时代里，你是否曾闻到，那风中的余香?古龙曾说，有人的地方就有江湖。而有生活的地方，有人的地方就有传承与遗留。有那么多人感慨的无非物质文化遗产的丧失，于是他们迫切地想重建，想发扬光大。如此并没有错，只是有许多的文化，它随着历史的云烟，早已很难在当今世界坐上一把辉煌的交椅。它们的位置，应当成为风中的淡淡香气，人们精神家园的盆景，在无声中滋养与温润我们的感情。那些遗忘是必然的啊，传统的审美，或是略带迷信色彩的习俗，它们其实从未在我们身边消散，只是硬性地想换回轰轰烈烈的纪念形式，我们才反会感到它们逝去的姿态。
并且一切都能，都值得成为那风中的余香。逝与留的辩证正是自然与历史最智慧的斟酌。当表面随着风沙渐渐融化，那内核也正缓缓显露它的精华。时光逝留的沙漏，更能让我们看清一样事物它真正的价值。大西北的敦煌，曾经的飞天完整而清晰，但对画上它的人，它只是壁画;如今的它虽干涸百孔，却更能承担历史的厚重，真正的杰作，必是经过历史风霜的淘洗，然后逝去了一些，却更余留了真和美。
我们这个时代，是否想让后世回望的时候能找寻到如此一些不灭的精魂?那就让文学的泡沫，让市场的包装淡去些吧，它们，只会在风中逸散。
一直难忘的一次画展，是新兴的画家自办的，朋友看到一幅画问我，那究竟是传统画风还是后现代的?我看着那幅画，很温暖。
那一刻，我仿佛闻到了风中的余香。

you can hear your laughters of joy and happiness on the day when everything happens as you dream. you can see the smiles on the people around you when the magic moment strikes. you can feel your face is getting red, your heart is beating fast, and your blood is rushing all over your body, to every single corner of your being!
you know all this is real as long as you are confident, passionate and committed! and you are confident, you are passionate, you are committed!
you will no longer fear making new sounds, showing new facial expressions, using your body in new ways, approaching new people, and asking new questions.
you will live every single day of your life with absolute passion, and you will show your passion through the words you speak and the actions you take.
you will focus all your time and effort on the most important goals of your life. you will never succumb to challenges of hardships.
you will never waver in your pursuit of excellence. after all, you are the best, and you deserve the best!
as your coach and friend, i can assure you the door to all the best things in the world will open to you, but the key to that door is in your hand. you must do your part. you must faithfully follow the plans you make and take the actions you plan; you must never quit and you must never fear. i know you must do it, you can do it, you will do it, and you will succeed! now stand firm and tall, make a fist, get excited, and yell it out:

大家早上好!在这个世界上，在成功者的队伍里面，很多人并不见得很聪明，在失败者的队伍里面很多人并不见得愚笨。其实，有一样东西比聪明的脑袋更重要，那就是人的心灵和意志，一个人的贫穷，很大的程度是心灵的贫穷;一个人的成功，很大程度是意志的成功。
对一个刚生下来的孩子来说，将来的一切都未知数，没有谁知道也不可能知道他将来会成为什么样的人。然而，随着时间的推移，环境的改变，学习的艰难，世道的艰辛，人情的冷暖，人们的心灵和意志就会慢慢地发生改变，这样的改变将会导致人与人之间的差距，于是，有些人很成功，有些人很失败;有些人很出色，有些人很平庸;有些人很幸福，有些人很痛苦。你想在这个激烈竞争的社会成为一个很成功、很出色、很幸福的人，关键在于你有没有一颗永远不冷不死的心!有没有一股不管是主观因素还是客观因素都打不垮的意志!
人活世上，谁不希望能有作为于社会，回报于家庭，慰藉于自己?
所以我们每天都应该想一想，你的每一步都留下什么脚印?你有没有努力过?你有没有成功过?你做过哪几件事情最让你感到骄傲和自豪?你小时候那些美好的梦想现在还剩下多少?你对自己还有多少信心?你对将来还抱多大的希望?每一天都在充实都在进步中度过吗?在做人、读书和做事上，你都尽力了吗?你还敢说自己很想说的话吗?你还敢做自己喜欢做的事吗?你的父母还能为你感到骄傲吗?你是否能理直气壮地说：爸爸妈妈，你的儿子很用功!你的女儿很优秀!你的独生子不会让你们白生白养的!你的女儿不会给你们丢脸的!你的儿子不会让你们失望的!你的女儿一定会让你们幸福的!
一时的感动容易做到，把激情留住几天也不难，但是，你要把感动和激情植入你的心田烙进你的骨头，化成你一生向上的信念，变成你永远源源不断追求成功的动力却决非易事!
让我们把握生命中的每一分钟每一次感动，全力以赴我们心中的梦!在不久的将来在一个都让我们感到骄傲感到自豪的地方相逢!

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.
It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone but it takes a lifetime to forget someone. Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth, even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.
Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.
Always put yourself in the other's shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the person too.
A careless word may kindle strife; a cruel word may wreck a life; a timely word may level stress; a loving word may heal and bless.
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, ends with a tear. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one smiling and everyone around you is crying.
There was once a guy who suffered from cancer, a cancer that can?'t be cured. He was 18 years old and he could die anytime. All his life, he was stuck in his house being taken cared by his mother. He never went outside but he was sick of staying home and wanted to go out for once. So he asked his mother and she gave him permission.
He walked down his block and found a lot of stores. He passed a CD store and looked through the front door for a second as he walked. He stopped and went back to look into the store. He saw a beautiful girl about his age and he knew it was love at first sight. He opened the door and walked in, not looking at anything else but her. He walked closer and closer until he was finally at the front desk where she sat.
during his presidency, bill clinton seized important opportunities on issues from welfare to free trade. he was a tireless champion of peace in the middle east. he used american power in the balkans to confront aggression and halt ethnic cleansing. and in all his actions and decisions, the american people sensed a deep empathy for the poor and the powerless. shortly before leaving office, president clinton said, "christ admonished us that our lives will be judged by how we do unto the least of our neighbors." throughout his career, bill clinton has done his best to live up to that standard. and americans respect him for it. at every stage of his remarkable life, president clinton has made and kept countless friends, who share in the joy of this day. and three people in particular have the largest part in this remarkable story. one day more than 30 years ago, inside the yale law library, a fellow student walked over to bill clinton and said, "if you're going to keep staring at me, and i'm going to keep staring back, we ought to at least know each other's name. mine's hillary rodham. what is yours?"that was a good day for both of them, and the beginning of a partnership unique in american history. so today, we honor the former first lady of arkansas, the former first lady of america, the united states senator from new york, senator hillary rodham clinton.
perhaps the clintons' greatest achievement is their daughter, who moved into the white house as a young girl, and left as an accomplished young lady. it's not easy to be a teenager in the white house, but it's a lot easier when you have a loving mother and a loving father that chelsea clinton had.
